9.1 Glossary

Key terms used throughout the MemberDash documentation.

Membership plan — A WooCommerce Memberships plan. MemberDash adds Course Enrolment and Group Enrolment tabs to it.

User membership — A specific user's instance of a membership plan, with a status (Active, Cancelled, etc.). A user's access reflects their active memberships.

Course Enrolment rule — A rule on a plan's Course Enrolment tab that grants LearnDash courses (by course, or by course category).

Group Enrolment rule — A rule on a plan's Group Enrolment tab that grants LearnDash groups.

Content type — What a rule targets: courses, course categories (terms), or groups.

Access schedule — When a rule grants its content: immediately, after a delay (counted from the membership purchase date), or on a specific date.

"Apply to all" — Leaving a rule's Title field blank, so the rule applies to every item of its content type, including ones added later.

LearnDash group — A LearnDash grouping of users. MemberDash can associate groups with membership plans (creator/multisite).

Team-synced group — A LearnDash group automatically created and kept in sync with a WooCommerce Team. (Requires the Teams add-on.)
