01. Introduction to Beaver Profile Builder
Beaver Profile Builder is a WordPress plugin by Tangible Inc. that adds user profile modules to Beaver Builder. You build an account page in the builder, and users update their details, upload an avatar, or delete their account from that page instead of the WordPress admin.
What Beaver Profile Builder gives you
Beaver Profile Builder adds three modules to Beaver Builder's module panel, grouped under Beaver Profile Builder:
| Module | What it does |
|---|---|
| Profile Edit Form | A configurable form where logged-in users edit their profile: name, email, password, biography, social links, and custom fields you define. |
| Avatar Edit | A popup flow where users upload, crop, and preview a new profile picture. |
| Profile Delete Form | A button with a confirmation popup that lets users delete their own account. |
All three modules act on the currently logged-in user. They are designed for account, profile, or membership pages that only logged-in users visit.
The plugin also adds one site-wide setting that activates author archive pages for users who have not published any content. This is useful when author archives serve as public profile pages.
What you need
| Plugin | Required for |
|---|---|
| Beaver Builder | All modules |
| Simple Local Avatars | The Avatar Edit module only |
The Avatar Edit module stores profile pictures using the free Simple Local Avatars plugin. The other two modules work with Beaver Builder alone.
If you are new to Beaver Builder, read the orientation page first:
