5.1 Using the Modules

This page shows you where the profile modules live and how they behave, so you know what to expect before building a page with them.

Finding the modules​

Open any page or post in Beaver Builder. In the content panel, open the Group dropdown and select Beaver Profile Builder. Three modules appear:

  • Profile Edit Form — a form for editing the logged-in user's profile
  • Avatar Edit — a popup flow for changing the profile picture
  • Profile Delete Form — a button for deleting the account

The modules also appear under the Profile category when browsing by category.

Avatar Edit requires Simple Local Avatars

The Avatar Edit module only appears when the free Simple Local Avatars plugin is installed and activated. The other two modules work without it.

They act on the logged-in user​

All three modules read and change the profile of whoever is currently logged in. There is nothing to configure about which user they target. The visitor editing the form is always editing their own account.

Because of this, place the modules on pages meant for logged-in users: an account page, a member dashboard, or a profile page behind a login. The modules are not intended for logged-out visitors.

Placing and styling​

Drag a module into a column like any other Beaver Builder module. Each module opens a settings panel with its own tabs: content and behaviour in the first tab, then style and typography in the others. The next three pages walk through each module's settings in detail.
