4.1 Installing Beaver Profile Builder

Prerequisites

Beaver Builder must be installed and active before installing Beaver Profile Builder. See Getting Started with Beaver Builder if you need to set it up first.

1. Download Beaver Profile Builder

Sign in to Tangible Cloud and click Downloads in the left navigation. Find Beaver Profile Builder in the list and click Download to save the plugin zip to your computer.

2. Install the plugin

In your WordPress admin, go to Plugins > Add New > Upload Plugin. Choose the file you downloaded and click Install Now.

3. Activate the plugin

Once installation completes, click Activate Plugin. The profile modules now appear in the Beaver Builder module panel under the Beaver Profile Builder group.

Avatar Edit requires Simple Local Avatars

The Avatar Edit module only appears in the module panel when the free Simple Local Avatars plugin is installed and activated (step 4 below). Until then the group contains the Profile Edit Form and Profile Delete Form modules.

If the modules are not appearing
  • Confirm Beaver Builder is installed and active.
  • Make sure you are running Beaver Profile Builder 1.0.2 or later. Earlier 1.0.x builds had a bug that prevented the modules from loading.
  • Check for plugin conflicts by temporarily deactivating other plugins and testing again.

4. Install Simple Local Avatars (optional)

If you plan to use the Avatar Edit module, install and activate the free Simple Local Avatars plugin from Plugins > Add New. The Avatar Edit module stores profile pictures through it. Skip this step if you only need the profile form and delete button.
