02. Getting Started with LearnDash

Installing LearnDash​

To get started with LearnDash:

Purchase & Download:​

Buy a LearnDash license from the official website and download the plugin.

Install the Plugin:​

  1. Log into your WordPress admin panel.
  2. Go to Plugins > Add New and click Upload Plugin.
  3. Upload the downloaded LearnDash ZIP file, click Install Now, and then Activate.

License Activation:​

Navigate to LearnDash LMS > Settings > License and enter your license key to enable updates and support.

Setting Up Your LMS​

Create Your First Course:​

  1. Go to LearnDash LMS > Courses and click Add New.
  2. Add a course title, description, and featured image.
  3. Use the Course Builder to add lessons, topics, and quizzes.

Add Lessons & Topics:​

  1. Navigate to LearnDash LMS > Lessons or Topics.
  2. Associate them with your course and organize the structure in the Course Builder.

Enable Course Settings:​

  1. Customize course access, pricing, and progress settings in the course editor.
  2. Use the Advanced Settings for drip-feed schedules or prerequisites.

Add a Quiz:​

  1. Go to LearnDash LMS > Quizzes to create interactive assessments.
  2. Link quizzes to lessons, topics, or courses.
