03. Getting Started with WooCommerce


To use MemberDash, you’ll need to have WooCommerce installed and configured on your WordPress site. WooCommerce is a powerful eCommerce plugin that enables you to sell products, manage payments, and handle memberships. Follow these steps to get started:

Step 1: Install WooCommerce

  1. Log in to your WordPress admin dashboard.
  2. Navigate to Plugins > Add New.
  3. In the search bar, type WooCommerce.
  4. Locate the WooCommerce plugin in the search results and click Install Now.
  5. Once installed, click Activate.

Step 2: Set Up WooCommerce

After activation, WooCommerce will guide you through its setup wizard. This process includes:

  • Configuring your store’s basic details (e.g., store location, currency, and product types).
  • Setting up payment gateways to accept payments from your customers.
  • Configuring shipping options if you plan to sell physical products.
  • Adding basic tax information, depending on your location and business type.

Step 3: Add Products or Memberships

Once the setup wizard is complete, you can start adding products or membership plans that integrate seamlessly with MemberDash.
