Course Navigation

Renders the full course outline — lessons, topics, and quizzes — with completion status icons. The outline updates automatically as the learner progresses.

Usage

On a course Themer template — The standard placement. Put this module on the course singular template to give learners a persistent view of the full course structure with progress reflected in the status icons.

Expand: Current — Setting Expand to Current collapses completed sections and keeps only the current lesson open. Works well for long courses where a fully expanded outline becomes unwieldy to scroll.

Enabling quiz visibility selectively — All three quiz visibility settings default to off (confirmed in source). Enable only the levels you need — for example, enabling lesson quizzes but not topic quizzes keeps the outline readable on courses with many nested quizzes.

How it works

The outline reflects LearnDash's course hierarchy and the current user's completion state. Status icons (Started, Completed, Locked) update automatically. Quiz items at all three levels are hidden by default and must be enabled explicitly.

Text Style
