LearnDash Create a group

As an administrator of your WordPress site, you may need to create a group with the LearnDash plugin. Groups organize students into smaller units within a course or program, allowing for targeted instruction and effective e-learning. Instructors can assign specific coursework, track progress and performance, and manage communication and collaboration. Groups also create competition and facilitate peer-to-peer learning.

  1. Log in to your WordPress dashboard and navigate to the LearnDash tab.

  2. Click on the "Groups" section to view a list of all your groups.

  3. Click on the “Add New” button to create a new group.

  4. Set the name of your group in the “Group page” tab, and in the text block provided for this purpose you can enter your content (text, lists, images etc).

  5. Add a category to your group, you can choose from a pre-existing list or add a new one, you can set a unique label for your group and tag.

  6. Define the group attributes (the order of the group from 0 to a desired number)

  7. Define a highlight image

  8. Define the options of your group in the settings tab, such as Group Access Settings, content display option. With theses options you can control the access to your group and the display of your content.

  9. Define the courses you want to offer to your group in the courses tab, click on the courses that you want to add and then click on the right arrow. (You can add multiple courses at once by maintaining ctrl + click).

  10. Add the users you want to put in your group in the Users tab, click on the user that you want to add and then click on the right arrow. (You can add multiples users at once by maintaining ctrl + click)

  11. Click on Publish to save and publish your group.
