Updates and Changelog

In this section, you'll find a log of all significant updates to the Lifter Elements plugin, including new widget additions, compatibility improvements, and bug fixes. Regular updates help maintain performance, security, and compatibility with both Elementor and LifterLMS.

How to Stay Updated

To make sure you're always using the latest version of Lifter Elements, follow these best practices:

  • Enable Automatic Updates: If your hosting environment supports it, consider enabling automatic updates to avoid missing important patches or enhancements.
  • Review the Changelog: Before updating, check the changelog for any major feature changes or adjustments that might impact your site’s functionality. This ensures you’re aware of new features or potential issues.
  • Test Updates in Staging: For significant updates, it’s recommended to test them in a staging environment first, particularly if your LMS is handling active learners and courses.

Releases (Stable)

1.7.0 - Apr 29th, 2026

The LifterLMS Groups integration is now rolled into Lifter Elements core — previously available as a separate lifter-elements-groups-integration plugin. This release adds 5 new widgets, 14 new dynamic tags, 4 new conditional-logic conditions, and enhances the existing Course Access Plans and Access Plan Button widgets to support group-enrolment seat counts.

  • New widget: Groups List — directory grid of groups, with visibility and enrollment filters (the "Enrolled only" filter replaces the need for a separate "My Groups" widget)
  • New widget: Group Members — member grid with avatar, name, and role
  • New widget: Group Page Course Card — auto-detects course vs membership
  • New widget: Group Invitation Link — button linking to the open invitation URL
  • New widget: Leave Group — confirmation form for members to unenroll
  • New dynamic tags (14): Group Name, Description, Visibility, Member Count, Seats, Pending Invitations Count, URL, Logo, Banner, Invitation Link, Course Title, Course URL, Course Image, Current User Group Role — see Dynamic Tags reference
  • New conditions (4): User Group Enrollment, User Group Role, Group Visibility, Group Seat Availability — see Conditional Logic in 4.5
  • Course Access Plans / Access Plan Button: when an access plan has the LifterLMS "Group enrolment" option enabled, the widget now displays a seat-count selector before the enroll button
  • Theme Builder: the llms_group post type is now supported as a Theme Builder location, enabling custom group page templates
  • i18n: text domain unified to lifter-elements (was lifter-elements-groups in the standalone integration plugin)
Requires LifterLMS Groups

The groups widgets, dynamic tags, and conditions only appear when the LifterLMS Groups add-on is installed and activated. Lifter Elements will continue to function normally for sites without it.
